Overview The Studio Lighting workshop provides students with everything they need to create a produce a dynamic portrait. Hands-on practice will build confidence and offer a firm understanding of all the controls and functions of the lighting equipment, so the photographer can deliver a certain effect as desired. We’ll explain how to utilize the technical aspects of the equipment to deliver your specific style. You’ll learn how to read light and manipulate quality, quantity, and direction with tools like strobes, reflectors, diffusion and other modifiers. We’ll discuss contrast, intensity and other properties of light. We’ll also talk about how to work with your subject: developing trust and giving direction. This course is your introduction to the skills you need to successfully shoot powerful images in any situation.
