Studio Lighting: hands-on workshop

Overview

The Studio Lighting workshop provides students with everything they need to create a produce a dynamic portrait. Hands-on practice will build confidence and offer a firm understanding of all the controls and functions of the lighting equipment, so the photographer can deliver certain effects and create mood as desired.

• Technical Confidence: learn how to utilize strobes to deliver your specific style.
• Properties of Light: manipulate quality, quantity, and direction of the source.
• Modifiers: practice with a range of light modifiers, including umbrellas, soft boxes, reflectors, diffusion and more.
• Subject: develop trust and give direction fluently, while posing and handling technical considerations.

This course is your introduction to the skills you need to successfully shoot powerful images in any situation. You’ll walk away with a firm understanding of the equipment and how to use it to embrace your artistic vision.
