Welcome to Photo Camp!

This 5 day adventure begins with a basic overview of camera functions and ends with an exhibition featuring the kids’ work from the week. Through a series games and expeditions, we’ll challenge the way we see; we’ll learn through instruction and practice how to make images, rather than take them. Ultimately campers will develop their photographic eye and learn new ways of seeing.

Photo Camp counselors are working photographers who have been in the industry for years, and with experience in education and childhood development, they understand how to ignite passion and curiosity within a non-competitive environment.

What if my child misses a day during the week?
If you anticipate missing a day during the week, we encourage you to sign up for a partial week.

Does my child need a camera to attend camp?
No, we have extra cameras, which campers can use; DSLRs as well as point & shoots. That said, it’s ideal if campers bring their own cameras because each camera is a little different. Also, we have fun assignments each night, so having your own camera is very helpful in this way.

What kind of camera should I buy my child?
If you’re thinking of getting your camper a camera of their own, here are some of the cameras we recommend:
– Canon EOS 200D / Rebel SL2
– Canon Eos Rebel T7/EOS 2000D
– Nikon D3500
Point & Shoots:
– Lumix DC ZS70K
– Canon IXUS 185

– Sony Cyber-shot WX220
– Canon Powershot SX730 HS
– Canon Powershot SX430 IS

My kid has special needs…
Our first priority is to keep your child safe. Please call us and talk to us directly about your child’s specific needs.
